About the Role

Role Type:
Freelance Tutor
Rates:
£100 per session (+ £285 one-off Core Tutor Fee per Core Group led – payable at the end of each term)
Students:
Adults aged 18+ from a wide range of backgrounds, which may include individuals considered to be adults at risk.
Availability:
Weekly evening sessions (Monday–Thursday, 7.00pm–9.30pm), plus:
  • End-of-term showcases
  • Online 1:1 feedback sessions during Weeks 6 and 7
Support:
Freelance tutors receive:
  • Full Induction
  • App/Portal Access
  • Curriculum Materials
  • Ongoing support from Operations, DSL and Tutor Support teams

Who We Are Looking For

We contract:
  • Core Tutors — delivering the majority of a group's classes across a term
  • Guest Tutors — delivering one-off sessions or cover classes. We welcome tutors from a variety of industry backgrounds including acting, directing, facilitation and theatre-making.

Essential Experience:

  • Professional acting training and/or industry/directing experience
  • Experience delivering acting workshops or courses
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt sessions to varied learner needs
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and pastoral care

Desirable Experience:

  • Adult learning experience
  • Awareness of safeguarding, SEND, SEMH and Health & Safety
